Tropidelic – Go Down With The Ship

Categories: , Tag:

The six-piece band from Cleveland, Ohio may be far from any tropical islands but that doesn’t stop them from dishing out an interesting mix of reggae, hip hop and high energy funk for audiences across the country. Go Down with the Ship is their most diverse effort to date. Tracks such as “Bad Cookie” and “Batter Up” evoke the Red Hot Chili Peppers as they show off the group’s hip-hop skills; the songs also benefit from funky bass riffs. The horn section really thrives on “The Line,” a song that concludes with a wicked guitar solo.
